The location of the hotel was perfect for exploring the town and nearby attractions. It was easy to walk to the town, castle, and canal, allowing us to enjoy the picturesque surroundings. the hotel offered easy access to other Dales towns and villages, making it a great base for leisurely drives or adventurous hikes in the area.
There were some safety concerns during our stay. The bathroom and shower floors were extremely slippery, posing a risk of falls.

This cozy holiday home was the perfect base for exploring the town. The location was great, just a short 5-minute walk to the town center. On-street parking was available and we had no trouble finding a spot. The house had everything we needed, including free Wi-Fi and Netflix. The addition of outdoor seating was a nice touch, perfect for enjoying a meal on a summer's evening. a comfortable and well-equipped home.
We felt cared for during our stay and had no complaints whatsoever.

Furnished nicely and had everything needed for an enjoyable stay. Ideally situated for visiting the surrounding area. The owner, Nigel, was very helpful and accommodating.
Safety concerns regarding slippery bathroom and shower floor. "Mind your head" stickers needed on the stairs and outside shed.

The location was perfect for exploring the charming town, castle, and canal on foot. The house itself was well-equipped and comfortable, with a large bed and a cozy lounge. The kitchen had new appliances and everything we needed. having free Wi-Fi and Netflix was a great bonus. I also appreciated the option to sit and eat outside on the lovely summer evenings. The cottage is conveniently located near the town center, making it easy to explore shops and enjoy the street market. Free Wi, Fi and Netflix are provided, along with a comfortable living room and dining room for relaxation. the house is well, equipped and clean, with a separate utility room for laundry. On, street parking is available and easily accessible.
One of the plates in the kitchen was found to be dirty, and some areas like the bathroom floor and sofa could have been cleaner.

It serves as a great base for exploring the surrounding Dales towns, villages, attractions, and walking opportunities. the rooms are comfortable and well-equipped, with amenities like soap, biscuits, milk, tea, and coffee provided. the bathroom is modern and spacious, featuring a large free-standing roll top bath and a separate electric shower. the hotel offers a separate dining room with a bookcase and easy chairs, providing ample space for relaxation and enjoyment.
There is a slight issue with cleanliness, as some plates were found to be stacked away with a dirty one in between. the bathroom floor and the grey sofa underneath the seat cushions were not well cleaned, and there was a need to replace the vacuum cleaner bag.

We especially loved the original features, like the fireplaces, which added a charming touch. The house was super clean on arrival, and it was a pleasant surprise to find milk and chocolate biscuits provided. We also had no trouble with parking, and the quiet residential street ensured a peaceful atmosphere. The location is ideal, just a short walk from the town center with its canals, shops, and vibrant street market. We even took a walk to the railway station to experience the famous Settle to Carlisle railway. The separate utility room was a convenient bonus, doubling as a drying room for our wet clothes.
